For numerous years I never felt that I could trust going to a mechanic shop. After finding Steve's though I have had nothing, but wonderful experiences from their service writers to each one of their technicians. These guys are not only 100% trustworthy and honest, but they really do sincerely and genuinely care about me, their customer. The really do quality work at a fair price! I finally have found a mechanic shop who I can trust and who do great work. I'm a happy and loyal customer for life!!! Their service writer, Dennis Kyle, truly is the best sales professional I have ever had the chance to do business with!

I just recently moved to Salt Lake, and needed some work done on my Mini Cooper. When I brought my car in, I told them that my breaks were squeaking, and that my car was having a hard time starting (I had replaced the battery less than a month earlier). They called me the next day and informed me that, after checking things out, I needed to replace my breaks and rotors, and that my new battery had a bad cell. They said they could take care of the breaks, rotors and battery that day. My total would be close to $1,300. I tried to explain that my current battery was under warranty, and I could probably get it replaced for free. Their salesman tried to push me to buy theirs for over $300 because it had a "better warranty." I was obviously a little uneasy dropping that kind of cash on what I assumed should be a relatively routine repair. I called the Mini Cooper dealership in town, and they informed me that they could take care of it for less than half of what I had been quoted by Steve's Auto Specialists. At the end of the day, they charged me over $180 for "inspections" ($90 to perform an inspection on my battery that took less than 2 minutes at Auto Zone, and another $90 to take a look at my breaks) so they could tell me what I had initially told them when I brought my car in... my breaks needed to be replaced, and my battery was bad. It seems to me like this is not the kind of business who puts their customers first. I felt very cheated and scammed.

I always take me vehicles in to steve's Automotive for the quality work they provide and for the past 20 years my cars get fixed by one of the best in the business. When it comes to vehicle know how the guys at Steve's are great. I recently took in my 1996 honda accord to get a heater hose replaced , the repair was done in great time and the mechanic even noticed a few other things that were not in good shape like a bad belt . I also had forgotten over time but was glad they recommended it they be changed. he also fixed my front plate that was hanging off the car no charge for that of course , but its those little things that make me a returning customer in the future , I know that these guys are there for me when it comes to car repair and quality. The front office staff are friendly and always make it a great experience when I need car issues dealt with. Its nice to have honesty around when it comes to fixing your car, my wife had a bad experience ounce, she had taken our van in for an inspection at a different shop in the valley the mechanic their told her the tie rod was cracked and needed to be replaced he told her that he could have it fixed in a couple hours if she wanted to leave it their, she then called me and I told her we would take it to Steve's for a second opinion, after explaining the issue with the mechanic at Steve's the mechanic checked the tie rods and found no cracks and no visible damage at all and needless to say we never changed the tie rods , ever ! So we know honesty is what steves auto is known for ..Thanks to al the staff at Steve's we appreciate all you do.

We took our car in for a regular routine oil change and they noticed the head gasket (not a mechanic so spelling may be wrong) they had replaced almost a year ago was bad. The warranty was up in a week and we had no idea it was bad. They replaced it again free of charge. It is a big and expensive so job so we were extremely impressed. They totally won us over with their honesty. They always do such a thorough job. I also really like how they always give us a heads up when things are getting close to needing repair. It gives a chance to prepare for the expense when its time for the next oil change. I highly recommend them!

We started utilizing Steve's Automotive Specialist due to their proximity to our home. We were initially amazed at the number of cars lining their building and the flow of traffic in and out of their office. It did not take long however, to realize why Steve's is always busy. Their wide range of services available, including the recommended maintenance schedules on our vehicles (at a reasonable price vs. those charged by the dealers), attention to detail and courteous service have kept us coming back. My wife experienced a dead battery one morning and Steve's Automotive responded by dispatching one of their technicians who arrived immediately to assist her. Recently, we noticed Steve's is now sending e-mail confirmations of our scheduled appointments as well as follow-up e-mails regarding their services rendered. Our only reluctance to provide this information is that it will increase their client base and make it more difficult to schedule our maintenance work. However, they truly deserve kudos for their fine work. I would highly recommend them to anybody in need of service or repair.

We've been taking our cars to Steve's Automotive for many years. Their estimates are trustworthy, and the work done on our cars has always been reliably accomplished. When additional work has been required to resolve a problem we have never felt as though we have been gouged. The price has always seemed very fair. Loaner cars have been provided when needed...at no extra charge. I plan on taking my cars to Steve's Automotive Specialists for many years to come!

I would recommend Steve's to anyone who lives in Park City and doesn't want to use Park City mechanics. Great location just off the highway on your way to Salt Lake.

Alternator gave up on me in the middle of a two lane. Fortunately had a friend and we were able to partially push car into a parking lot. Steve's showed up only slightly later than the first estimate, got my car towed and fixed within 24 hours. Great service, reasonable prices, and friendly staff.

I just called asking for a BALL PARK price for a part replacement and was told they cant know how much different things are without looking it up. Funny how other places can very easily give me a price range. This makes me not want to take my car there, also I now Belive all the most recent reviews below. I think this place wants to charge every person who walks in the door a $69.99 fee. I will be going else where.

I was very pleased with my experience at Steve's Automotive. The front desk people are very polite and knowledgeable, and took care of me fast. They even had a loner car for me to borrow while they worked on my SUV, saving me time and money! Unlike other mechanics in Salt Lake City, these guys know cars, and that was easy to tell. They dont cut corners on repair, meaning that you dont have to worry about that fix down the road. I would definitely recommend Steve's Automotive to anyone looking for a mechanic. They get my business anytime I need work on my vehicle.
