This place shows total disrespect for customers. They take advantage of people who don’t have many options, squeezing as much money as they can. Don’t trust what the staff says — they clearly don’t care about their customers. I came in with a simple flat tire, which couldn’t be repaired due to the location of the puncture. That was fine. But when offering to replace the tires, the attendant lied about having the ones I needed in stock. He told me it would take 1 hour, but it ended up taking more than 3 because they didn’t actually have all tires. I lost hours of my day due to their lack of transparency. And to make matters worse, if I hadn’t double-checked, I would have left with two tires of one model and two of another. After all that delay, they still had to remove the wrong tires and install the correct ones. While I was waiting, I overheard other customers complaining too. I get the feeling that many people with bad experiences don’t leave reviews — otherwise their rating would be much lower. In my case, they didn’t even try to make up for the inconvenience. They just took my money and moved on without a care. Avoid this place!

Steve’s Automotive helped me big time when I was having trouble on a Friday afternoon! I called a few shops and no one else could take a look. They even stayed past close to get my vehicle fixed. I needed a zero point calibration and also had a blown fuse they chased down. Very thankful for them helping me out and figuring out a complicated issue. Would highly recommend!

I came in for an oil change and the advertised free A/C system check on my 2013 Crosstrek. They told me the compressor and A/C pressure were acceptable. I was then charged $250 for them to open the dash and diagnose the issue as a failed fan speed control switch — though I’m not even sure that work was actually done. After spending hours researching and testing things myself, I found the real issue was low refrigerant pressure, likely due to a leak. I jumped the A/C pressure switch, the compressor engaged, and I was able to re-pressurize the system — something a proper diagnostic should have caught. They refunded me when I returned and explained what I found, which I appreciated. But if I’m paying for professional diagnostics, I shouldn’t have to be the one doing the actual diagnosis afterward. The service for the oil change was great, and they had free drinks in the lobby. Maybe just don't go for the "free" ac check.

Went in to have my Ac looked at because it was making a noise and I wanted to fix it before it went bad. They told me it had already gone bad and I needed a new motor and transistor after just playing with the buttons, quoted me $1,031 saying I could finance. Called the Stockton 12 Honda dealership to price check the parts needed and they quoted me $650 including labor. Told them to book me in and order the parts. ALSO called a mechanic buddy from back home NV who told me they were quoting over book. Went back to Steve's to get my car where they proceeded to hold my keys hostage for 35min while giving me the "hard-sell" until agreeing to drop it down to match Honda at $650. Hell no. Hate to cry misogyny but that's ridiculous. When I finally got my keys, I got the 3rd degree on why I wasn't going there and they asked if I felt they were "untrustworthy". Direct quote. Happy to report Stockton 12 Honda took the time to find the issue which was NEITHER of the items reported by Steve's and price only changed by $5.00 . They were also incredibly transparent, nice, and communicative.
