After hearing different solutions from different shops I went to Steve's Auto Specialists due to high review ratings from customers found on the web. I went into Steve's and met William who was a total professional. William sold me on their service. I'm happy to inform my vehicle has been repaired to my total satisfaction! My Yukon runs better than it ever has and I will be back to the shop for any needed repairs and maintenance! William will take care of you the way you deserve! Your vehicle will run like a fine tuned machine! I am totally impressed with the shop and customer service they provide! If you've never been to this shop... Give them a chance, you'll be glad you did!!!

went here on a friends advice because he had the same vehicle. Worst mistake of the year. I needed to get my jeep fixed in the worst way so I could get to work the next day. They tried to get me to have over $2500 dollars for repairs and flush every possibly fluid in the vehicle with their special machine. I told them nope just the water pump. still charged me twice what anyone else would have. I only figured that out after the fact. Now even though it is two years later they still send me christmas cards and reminders in the mail. I only went to them one time. 2nd biggest crooks in the automotive repair business in salt lake. These guys are huge CROOKS

I take all my cars here for their preferred maintenence program, it is an amazing deal. They do a great assessment and have caught lots of problems before the car broke down. They use bg products which make oil changes last longer and keep every part of the car in like new condition. If you want your car to last a long time make steves the only place you take your car.

This place has been our second home for the past week. We have had issues with the catalytic converter in our Pontiac, and these guys do an AWESOME job. I don't know how they got bad reviews before - maybe they have new management now? Anyway, most honest mechanics I've ever been to. We had to replace our catalytic converter on a budget. We opted for the aftermarket one, of course. It turned out not to work at all, because nothing simple ever works for this car. :-) Anyway, we went back and they worked and tested it for about 8 hours free of charge, and determined we needed an original manufacturer's converter. They credited us the cost of the aftermarket one, and replaced it. No upselling, no sleeziness, nothing. Just honesty & hard working people. They also gave us a loaner car for FREE for 2 days while we got our car fixed. All we had to do was fill up the gas tank to where it was when we got it. I will never go back to another mechanic. These guys are AWESOME.

For numerous years I never felt that I could trust going to a mechanic shop. After finding Steve's though I have had nothing, but wonderful experiences from their service writers to each one of their technicians. These guys are not only 100% trustworthy and honest, but they really do sincerely and genuinely care about me, their customer. The really do quality work at a fair price! I finally have found a mechanic shop who I can trust and who do great work. I'm a happy and loyal customer for life!!! Their service writer, Dennis Kyle, truly is the best sales professional I have ever had the chance to do business with!

I just recently moved to Salt Lake, and needed some work done on my Mini Cooper. When I brought my car in, I told them that my breaks were squeaking, and that my car was having a hard time starting (I had replaced the battery less than a month earlier). They called me the next day and informed me that, after checking things out, I needed to replace my breaks and rotors, and that my new battery had a bad cell. They said they could take care of the breaks, rotors and battery that day. My total would be close to $1,300. I tried to explain that my current battery was under warranty, and I could probably get it replaced for free. Their salesman tried to push me to buy theirs for over $300 because it had a "better warranty." I was obviously a little uneasy dropping that kind of cash on what I assumed should be a relatively routine repair. I called the Mini Cooper dealership in town, and they informed me that they could take care of it for less than half of what I had been quoted by Steve's Auto Specialists. At the end of the day, they charged me over $180 for "inspections" ($90 to perform an inspection on my battery that took less than 2 minutes at Auto Zone, and another $90 to take a look at my breaks) so they could tell me what I had initially told them when I brought my car in... my breaks needed to be replaced, and my battery was bad. It seems to me like this is not the kind of business who puts their customers first. I felt very cheated and scammed.
