Steve Auto charged me 231 dollars to diagnose a Engine light on my Toyota Sienna.The diagnosis recommended to change 2 oxygen sensors, 2 flow sensors and the 2 main catalytic converters at a cost of 4200 dollars on top of the 231 dollars for the diagnosis. I smelled something fishy. Took the van to Larry Miller dealership The free doagnosis at Larry Miller revealed the need to change only one catalytic converter and one flow sensor for a total cost of 1500 dollars When i asked Larry Miller adviser about the extra parts proposed to be changed by Steve Auto, his answer was: we do not change properly fonctioning parts. I went to Steve Auto as a result of his aggressive bombarding me with hls ads and his proximity to my residence. Never suspected that Steve Auto will be charging me 3 times the going rate and assuring me that the dealership of Larry Miller does not know what it is doing. Larry Miller assured me my problem was solved and the engine light disappeared. In his car inspection, Steve Auto missed 4 brake pads worn out uniformly to one mm. Larry Miller detected the worn out pads and changed them.

When you take your car in for a simple oil change and have to tow your car away you are dealing with bad mechanics and or an extortion operation. Took my car for an oil change. Toby the salesman called and said “the last place that changed your oil over tightened the plug bolt so it stripped the oil pan.” He said I had to pay $750 for a new oil pan. I asked if it could be retapped. He said “no there is not enough material.” I said I could not afford it and that I would have to tow it away. While waiting for the tow truck we took in a $3 bolt with the same threading that was longer than the factory one to reach higher threads. He said “it wouldn’t work.” We towed it home. I put the new bolt in. It worked perfectly. To recap they stripped the oil pan threads(most likely used an air gun to put the plug bolt back in). Would not take responsibility for something that was obviously their fault. Then had the audacity to ask me to pay for a new oil pan. Which btw was $300+ more than other shops I called about an oil pan replacement. Truly an unbelievably horrible experience. Look forward to the owners gaslighting response.

I brought my Toyota Tacoma in to Steve’s Automotive for an oil change. Nate and the crew were very helpful and looked over my truck in detail! They found a few minor issues I needed and took care of them right away! I highly recommend them! I will definitely be coming back with my Tacoma and my wife’s Mini Cooper

I have spent well over $8,000 dollars here in a very short time span. I was recently quoted another $2,000 dollars for a job last week. Luckily, I called around for quotes at other places this time. It saved me $1,000. Makes me wonder how much money I could have saved if I can went somewhere else before. I don't want to think that anybody is being intentionally dishonest, but that is a huge difference in price. I'm keeping it at 3* because the work was satisfactory in the past and I appreciated the detailed picture description of work done. Price stinks though.

Upfront and transparent with the repairs needing to be made. Costs are definitely more than I would've liked to have paid, but with a German car that's to be expected and the prices honestly were probably competitive to everywhere else and fair, probably a fraction of what the dealer would've charged at their service department. Plus they had a generous warranty on their workmanship, I'd certainly trust them to work on my vehicle again.
