My personal experience at Steve’s auto place was SO amazing, I am so happy to post it. Sheldon, whom was the main person that was helping me, walked me through all of the steps, and then Johnny was the mechanic that did the actual work on my vehicle, these people are superb. I had been going to Big-O for years, and the first time here, at Sevens auto, felt like going to an actual professional, instead of the fumbling that I had experienced MANY times before over at the Big-O I had been going to. I shall not be returning to the Big-O I had been to before. MUCH happier with the service, and even the simple verbalization that Steve’s auto provided to me, as I have NEVER had before when I went to Big-O.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review and for the kind words Rob! It's our pleasure to help any time you need us :)

They were nice enough guys but I paid them over $500 and the issue on my van was never resolved. My engine was rapidly clicking and wouldn't start. They charged me $300 to run a test. They said it was bad battery connectors and charged me $200 to put new connectors on. After 2 days my engine died again, same issue, and I had it towed back to them a 2nd time. This time they told me that the ignition coil had actually been bad and that it now had fried my computer. They tried charging me an extra $300 for the 2nd "test" they did and something ridiculous like $1500 for a new coil and computer. I told them absolutely not, and had my van towed back home. When I got the van back the computer was missing,, so I had to call them again and one of their mechanics dropped it off at my house. I got a new computer and coil and replaced them myself. After that the van ran fine for 2 months, but the same issue returned. I shouldn't have had to pay for "new battery connectors" and the initial test if they never solved the issue. They wasted all 3 tows I had from my insurance. I'm too broke to get it towed anywhere and the van has been sitting broken for months now. I'd never trust to have them look at it a 3rd time since they already screwed up the diagnosis twice, unless they agree to actually fix what's wrong with it free of charge. My friends say I should sue them for the initial "repair" they charged me, but it's been 6 months now. I paid over $500 and nothing got fixed. First and last experience with these guys.

I really wish that I didn't have to post this, as everyone I've worked with at Steve's has been kind and attempted to help. Over the past 2 weeks, I have brought my car in at least 4 times, each time with a slightly different issue. The first time, a repair was done for my intake manifold, which seems that they did a good job on. The second time, my check engine light came back on and I brought it in for the same issue. It turns out, after paying over $200 for another test, that some wiring was crossed. They fixed that for me at no cost, other than the $200 testing fee again. I brought it in because my turbo was acting up, it cost me around $900 to fix that time after testing. I took it out for a test drive that night and the same issue ocured. I should have done more research, because I called 2-3 other shops afterword and the cost to fix the boost pressure sensor is only $200-$300. Not only that, but fixing the sensor was probably not even needed as it is a cracked hose that was somehow missed on their inspection I paid over $200 dollars for, again. In short, I paid over $900 in testing fees and $1800, to get a still broken car. I cannot recommend Steve's auto to anyone. I don't know if they just don't know how to fix a VW or are intentionally trying to squeeze money out of clients, but I would avoid them.

Edit: Dave from Steve’s reached out to me once he heard what had happened, he was extremely helpful and professional. I was refunded for the testing that was not needed and they were very fair in their reparations

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us so we could resolve the issue Jaxon :)

I had a good deal of (unexpected and much needed) work done by these folks on short notice. I had my car back by the end of the day with the ease of an Uber shuttle to and from. I appreciated the kind, professional and humble attitude from the employees. Super easy to work with. They even turned off my *oil change needed* light in my car! ( I always forget how to do that). I was exhausted from a week of nursing exams and wasn't my spunkiest self. Thanks for dealing with me anyways. I am truly grateful and relieved to have the work done with care.
