This place felt very predatory, and was very expensive just for “testing” that wasn’t necessary. I ended up paying $350 just for testing, most of which wasn’t needed, and that cost wouldn’t be applied to any of the repairs like most mechanics would. I got the needed repairs for less than I paid for their “testing”. I wish I read the reviews before coming here. The owners replies are so off-putting that I would have avoided coming here just based on those. EDIT TO ADD: I called to ask if the testing costs would count toward repair cost and was told “usually” but don’t recall the name of the employee so, nothing to do about that. Also, to the owner, you’re right, I don’t like your attitude. Because “straightforward no-nonsense” is just code for jerk. And unless a refund, partial or otherwise, is on the table… I have no need to call you.
Travis, it sounds like you don't like my straightforward, no nonsense approach to responding to reviews. Well, just like you I have the right to share my opinion as well. With over 100 years of combined auto repair experience my partners and I know how to operate a fair and honest shop. If you were honest in your sentiment about reading our reviews you would have mentioned how most of our clients love us and appreciate what we do. We recommend scientific testing and don't guess at repairing vehicles like most of the shops you alluded to in your comments. If they apply testing toward the repair it's because most of them don't really do any testing. They Google the issue and recommend whatever comes up. By the way, we'd do that for free. Now, I don't recommend it, but we'd do it for free. If you're ever interested in having a genuine conversation about the professional approach to auto repair feel free to call me anytime at 801-694-7936, thank you! - Richard (Owner)
