I’ve been bringing my vehicles here for years, mainly for oil changes and diagnostics. However, I’ve never had them perform major repairs because their pricing is extremely high. I recently brought my car in because it would turn over but wouldn’t start, and the key would get stuck in the ignition. Based on their diagnosis, they recommended replacing the alternator, battery, and serpentine belt—all of which I replaced. Unfortunately, the issue remained exactly the same. On top of that, they quoted me $1,100 just for labor. Thankfully, I took my car to El Guero Mechanic Shop in Ogden, where they correctly identified and fixed the actual problem for only $150 in labor (I provided the part needed) In my experience, this place is fine for basic oil changes, but beyond that, I would strongly recommend avoiding it.
Joe, thank you for your continued support over the years—we truly appreciate it. We’re sorry to hear this recent experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our recommendations are based on the information available at the time of diagnosis, and while intermittent or complex issues can sometimes require further testing, we always aim to be as accurate and transparent as possible. Regarding pricing, our estimates reflect professional installation, quality parts we source and stand behind with a warranty, and the time required to perform the work properly. For that reason, we’re not able to install customer-supplied parts or compare directly to situations where repairs are completed independently. That said, we value your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to review your visit with you—please feel free to reach out to us directly.
