I am highly disappointed with the pricing transparency and value at Steve's Automotive Specialists. We were charged $1,400 for a thermostat housing replacement, which is roughly double the standard market rate for this type of repair on a standard vehicle. To make matters worse, they followed up this massive bill by giving us an incredibly high-end, inflated quote for shocks. While the staff is professional and the digital updates are convenient, their pricing model is entirely disproportionate to the work being performed. If you are looking for fair, competitive, independent mechanic rates, I strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere for a second opinion before authorizing any major repairs here.
Kathy, thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand that seeing a lower price quoted elsewhere can make our pricing feel high, but repair estimates are not always comparing the same scope of work. Our recommendations often include addressing the complete system, related maintenance, quality parts, and warranty coverage rather than replacing only the immediately failed component, and those differences can significantly affect the total price. We appreciate your comments about our team and digital communication, and we would be happy to review the repair and estimate with you in detail so you can clearly understand what was included and make a fair comparison.
