I give it only 2 stars for this service. In the past I have used them many times and would rate it 5 stars. They seemed through and honest except when I finally picked up my car after 3 weeks in the shop. They did give me a loaner car for that length of time which I appreciated. When I did pick up the car, the cashier at the front assured me that he had a senior service guy drive it around beyond a simple test drive to assure everything was fine. He said it drives like a dream. Well, as soon as I pulled out of the parking space and turned the wheel I heard a noise. As I turned around to drive it back into the space the noise what appeared to be from the steering wheel continued. When I returned to the front desk guy and began to tell him of the noise, a service guy standing next to him told me it didn't make that noise in the shop. My reply "it didn't make that noise when I brought it on 3 weeks ago." I was very very angry! They did immediately look at it and determined it was a faulty new part they put on and will order a new one. He assured me I could drive it now with no harm to the car. They will call me when they get this part in and ready to replace I do expect that it will be done the same day I bring it in and it will be soon. In my opinion Steve's Automotive should fire the service tech who lied to the front desk guy.

Nancy, I'm very sorry there was an issue when you picked up your vehicle. I wanted to add that I don't blame you for being upset because I know that given the circumstances I would have been very upset too. I inquired and discovered that someone did in fact test drive your vehicle and failed to report the noise to the advisor. It appears to have been an honest mistake and I sincerely apologize for the extra hassle it caused you. If you will allow us the opportunity we will be more than happy to do whatever it takes to make it up to you. I hope that our good service in the past may be worth enough for you to forgive us on this one occasion. Very happy customer! They were really honest and very thorough. They walked me through what my car needed and honored my discount and helped install a new oil pan we’d purchased ourselves. I will definitely go back for future car repairs!

I used to use the Big O Tires up the street for all of my auto repair needs, but ever since they hired a bunch of new people their service and friendliness have dropped immensely. So, enter Steve's. They've taken great care of me and my vehicles, so much so, that our whole family has switched to them for our repair and maintenance needs. I'm not sure if there's something Steve's can't take care of, and they're always timely and friendly through the whole process. They can be a tad pricy sometimes, but it's always well worth the cost.

Went in to get a quote for getting my timing belt changed, and they wanted to charge $1500 for parts and labor alone, but added other random maintenance on to total it out to $2100. Not going back. Volkswagen Southtown will do it for $800.

Dylan, phone quotes are always 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a legitimate quote because they only quote 1/3 or 1/2 of the job. The game is to quote the absolute lowest price possible to get your vehicle in their bay instead of ours, it's really that simple. Also, they offer a 12 month warranty and we offer a lifetime warranty. Prove to me that they will do for $800 the "exact same job" that we quoted for $2,100 and I'll do the job for FREE.
