We have been taking our cars, Toyota 4runner and Honda CRV, to Steve's Automotive for over two years. We continue to use their services even though we've moved to the next city. They are helpful, work to understand their customer's and are conscientious of their customer's time and budget. Bronson and Gary, who receive incoming customers, and others I've worked with continue to impress. They also send out discounts for standard maintenance multiple times throughout the year which is especially helpful with two aging cars that we work hard to maintain and preserve.

Took my car to the Sandy location with a major knock. I knew the repairs would be major, but they replaced timing belt, full tune-up and spark plugs, and charged over 4k and almost a month of having the car. I picked it up and the knock was still there. Despite paying extra to have the engine head pulled, they repaired a destroyed engine then the next day stated that "that was a different sound" and preceded to tell me it'll be an additional $6200 for a USED engine. Also said lifetime warranty and AFTER I paid, he stated a limited 3 year on parts. VERY deceptive. Took it to Mazda. Can get a factory engine for same price and less than a day they said the engine needed replaced and the repairs done were done by mistake and should have not been suggested. Now I have a car sitting unused with a blown engine and $4k worth of new parts that are worthles Sent emails, phone messages and not a single response in MONTHS. Also left my car full of grease and garbage. Didn't even wipe it down after having it almost a month. Crooks and bad business.

G, I'm sorry that you have a car you can't drive especially after spending that much money. Obviously it seems we've really upset you, however, to say you've reached out to us and we haven't responded in months seems a little bit impossible since we're open 10 hours a day and 5 days a week. As far as a dealership mechanic making himself the hero by telling you all the things we did wrong, certainly doesn't mean or prove anything. That's why a judge never makes a decision based on comments alone when one person accuses another, they look at the facts of the case and after careful consideration make a judgement. That mechanic didn't see your car before we made the repairs we did so it's impossible for him to accurately judge whether those repairs were needed or not. I do apologize, this is no doubt a tough situation but I promise it can be resolved but only if you're willing to gather and consider all the facts. I’m from out of state and needed an oil change and tires rotated on my 2012 Toyota 4Runner 4x4. I didn’t want to go to a chain oil change store. These guys were great and got me fixed up. They even found a mouse nest in my cabin filter. I felt comfortable in their knowledge and presentation. No pressure what so ever.

These guys did an amazing job on my vehicle. Great price, great quality of work, and great people. J Allmendlinger got all the necessary maintenance on my car. The service speaks for itself. Driving my car out of there felt like driving a new car. Thank you so much!

Definitely recommend! Not only fixed the issue, but found and alerted me to another that would've become a MAJOR problem (and bill) later on!

Honest people that care. They find the real issue and suggest the best solution, even if that means no immediate service(which has happened a few times). Fair pricing, quick service, friendly staff that clearly communicates the problems and service recommendations.

Absolutely horrible experience. Dropped car off to have the brakes repaired and they called a few minutes later saying the car wouldn’t start. We had never had an issue with the car not starting ever before. They claimed it needed a new starter. So sketchy, clearly just trying to charge us more since they only offered to fix it if we paid $400 more. So they just fixed the brakes (hopefully? Who knows, definitely do not trust them). When we came to pick it up the car of course would not start. Not sure what their plan was, who would ever be pleased with an experience where they bring a car that starts just fine every time, and come to pick up their “repaired” car that wouldn’t even start??? Ridiculous. So upset we paid $1000 for a car that is in a far worse state than when we brought it in. Didn’t offer to refund or repair. Just showed us some sketch way to start it and we drove away never to come back. Definitely do not trust these guys with your car! You will be very disappointed. Service: Brakes
