It’s such a scam my other mechanic was busy and would have done the same stuff for a 1/4 of the price. they kept making up things that were wrong and sent me a comparison of how it should have been and they looked exactly the same. charged me $140 just to look at it not even a deductible where other mechanics would have done it for free. jiffylube would have even done a better job and that’s saying something. I have gone to the same mechanic for 20 years. I always got a good price, professional customer service and never left unhappy. I recently moved to sandy and didn’t want to drive the 25 miles to my mechanic. I gave Steve’s auto shop a try after a referral and all I can say is they totally won me over. I am aware of issues that come up with cars. My AC needed refrigeration refill and Steve’s took care of me at a good price. I really liked that they send a full diagnostic with what the vehicle manufacturers recommend. When I went to pick my car up they let me talk to the mechanic and HE ACTUALLY LISTENED TO MY CONCERNS it was amazing. They won me over by far which says a lot for a loyal customer of 20 years. I LOVE Steve's Automotive Specialists!! I have been taking my car(s) there for 27-plus years. They have always been so good to me! My sister was here in May this year. After driving her Mini car here from Canada, it died in front of my house. I immediately called Steve's and spoke with Shayne, who was able to get her car right in. The mechanics went through the car and fixed one problem after another (NOTE: This car is a 2005 model, which my sister had bought used.) The mechanics stayed with it and fixed my sister's car so well that she said, "This is the best it has ever run since I bought it!" I have asked her multiple times since she got back home to Canada - safely and without problems! - how her car is running. She replies every time that her car is running smoothly and just wonderfully. She is very impressed with the great service she received from Steve's Automotive Specialists. What a great bunch of guys working there! Thanks so much for providing me with wonderful service throughout many, many years, and also thank you for making sure my sister could get home to Canada with no problems! I HIGHLY recommend Steve's for incredible service, excellent workmanship, and just being all around fun people. If you have car problems, you have to keep your sense of humor! This place is amazing I came in very last minute and was able to leave my car there and they got me in the next day.
