I called about having a diagnostic done on my Jeep and they made an appointment but didn't tell me they charge $175 just to look at the engine. I'll pass and go to another garage.

Christopher, we always start with a free initial evaluation to verify the problem, gather important relevant information, and for more involved issues determine the next step in identifying the cause. Since that can't be done over the phone it seems reasonable to have an appointment. Now, once the vehicle's in the shop, if the cause of the issue can't be quickly or easily confirmed, there are really only two options at that point. Option 1: Perform a professional scientific diagnosis to determine the cause, which helps you avoid the uncertain and expensive exercise of replacing parts that may or may not be bad. Although this does require a small investment up front it saves a lot of time and money in the end because the right part gets replaced the first time. Option 2: Guess. There are shops and consumers that prefer the guessing method usually because the diagnostic fees are either very low or $0, and they should be. After all, why should you pay someone to guess when you can just Google it and do that yourself. I'm very sorry our team was unable to help you see the value of professional service, especially considering the fact that most of our clients come to us and give us 5-star reviews for the very reason your giving us a 1-star. Finally, we have no hard feelings toward you and wish you the best in getting your issue resolved!

Steve's gets a big thumbs up from me! I took my car in for an oil chg and tire rotation using a discount coupon. After waiting for about 30 min. they told me their lift wasn't working, and told me I could come back for a free oil chg and tire rotation in a few days, which I did. They were very pleasant to work with and I still have the coupon to use in the future. Service: Oil change

Rude not professional and over priced!!

Crystal, I'm very sorry you feel you were treated rudely. I listened to all the phone calls you had with our shop and what I heard sounded like very poor communication between you and our advisor. Whenever I find a case of poor communication I hold our team members responsible, not our clients. A part of providing exceptional service is professional and clear communication, which I agree did not happen in your case and for which I sincerely apologize. Regarding the price, you decided to pick up your vehicle before we were able to determine the cause of your problem and a price to repair your vehicle was never given. It was explained that if the warranty company didn't cover the issue there could be a diagnostic testing fee. Went to get our car inspected before a big trip due to an engine rumble. After an inspection they ended up replacing a transmission mount (which barely helped). However this review isn't about the fix, it's about the quote. They quoted us over $200 to make the cloudy headlights clear!!! This is an easy thing to do yourself for only ~$15!! They also overquoted us to replace the entire oil filter assembly when it was only a gasket that needed to be replaced. Also one of the techs didn't put back a fixture in correctly. Not happy with this place, the only reason they have such good reviews is due to people being entered into a drawing if they give a good review.

Regarding the headlights, the kit we use costs considerably more than $15 and we follow a process that comes with a lifetime guarantee, parts and labor. It seems you may not have considered the fact that you're paying us to do it. A professional service provider will never be able to do any job for the same price that you can do it yourself and they never will, this is a choice that everyone is free to make for themselves, whether or not they have the time, knowledge, and experience to do something themselves. We estimate our repairs with the highest quality procedures, parts, and warranty in the industry because if we're going to do a job we're going to stand behind it 100%. We can match any legitimate estimate from our competition provided we do the job the same way, use the same quality parts (which differ immensely), and offer the the same warranty. Our experience has proven that shopping for automotive service by price alone usually leads to the poorest quality parts and service. As far as your comment about our reviews, using your same logic, if that were true then you would have left a good review, but you didn't. All of our reviews are legitimate and from real clients, both the happy and the unhappy. The bottom line is that things don't always go as expected, however, we're serious about client satisfaction and if someone is willing to give us the chance we'll do whatever it takes to take the best care of them. I’ve been indifferent about writing this review, but it’s been a couple of weeks and I’m still as frustrated as when it happened. This is my experience, and I believe people should make their own judgments, but I’m just putting out some facts and have all the paperwork and photos to back it up. And yes, I now realize how easy of a piece this is to fix which makes this whole thing that much more frustrating. I’ve used these guys a couple of times and had, what I thought, was a good, trustworthy mechanic. Last year I bought an older Tundra and took it here to have it inspected and fixed. There were definitely things wrong with it and even though I was quoted lower at another place, I went with these guys because they came recommended by close friends. One of the problems that I had is that the heat plates or flange on the muffler rattled, which was more just annoyance than anything. They charged me for the part and fixed the problem last summer and for awhile it was fine. During the hot days this summer, it started to make the sound again. Given that they offer their lifetime guarantee, I made an appointment and took it back in to get fixed. They did their free inspection and then quoted me to REPLACE the flange, which was the piece that was rattling. I paid the $93 and left with no more rattle. Within 2 days the sound was back. After looking at the picture on the quote they gave me, I crawled under my truck and found the piece they said they were replacing to be same old rusty part with a brand new 10 cent bolt in it. This is when my frustration really started. I talked to some people I knew about the situation. The receipt that I have says that they REPAIRED the part, instead of REPLACED the part like I was initially quoted for. So I thought, okay, they probably charging me their hourly labor rate, the $93, and put a new bolt in thinking it would do the job, which it didn’t. So I took the truck back in just to find out I was right. They offered to replace the piece and not charge me their labor fee but I would have to leave the truck for a day so they could find the right piece, which they couldn’t quote me for at the time. So this is what I was looking at. A place that offered lifetime guarantee, “fixed” this piece last year. It started making the same noise so I brought it back, got charged more money only to have it keep making noise. Now I was told I’d have to leave my truck for a day, which would be 4 times being there, so they could find the correct piece, which they couldn’t quote me at the time, so I risked not having my truck, being charged a ton for a part, and if it was too much then I’d get the truck back, not fixed. As a full time nursing student and full time employee, I left with the rattle, stressing that my next free day wasn’t until December. I came home crying from frustration to find my 80 year old neighbor outside. He asked what was wrong. 3 days later he had ordered the part for $22, crawled under my truck and fixed it himself. It’s been 2 weeks and no problems. I don’t believe this is a bad place, or bad people, but I do believe it’s about the money and that’s what I got. I personally will not be going back or recommending, solely due to the fact that I don’t trust them, but you should make that call for yourself. Also, Rich Heidt I ran into the same thing. Paige, It seems that we really upset you and for that I'm truly sorry! It appears that very critical information is missing from your story. If we replaced a part on your vehicle with a lifetime warranty and that same part failed at any time then we would have replaced it under the lifetime warranty.
