Check engine light came on went to Steve's for free diagnostic they put the code reader on and gave me a list of problems charged me 200.00 to check for loose wire.Then told me it would cost 1700.00.to fix the problem. I knew better and said no. Went to tunex they put their reader on it gave you the code and told you what the code meant bad 02 censor cost 80.00 to fix. Steve's ripped me off for 200.00 now I have to take them to court. Go to tunex don't get ripped off.

Robert, it seems obvious you feel you got ripped off and I'm truly sorry you feel that way because it means we didn't do our job in proving to you that we value honest relationships with our clients. You see, if you felt you could trust us, instead of leaving this review, you would have called us and we would have discussed the discrepancy between the two diagnostics and resolved it. It would have ended with you understanding why our diagnosis was different or us making an apology for a misdiagnosis and moving forward with the correct repair, either way you would have left with a fixed vehicle and knowing that we will always do what's right. Since that didn't happen let's consider the other side of this story. Check engine lights come on for a myriad of reasons. It's possible for many different issues to turn the light on with the exact same malfunction code. This often results in many different opinions as to what the next step or repair should and this is based on a person's experience, training, and the available testing equipment. Because of this fact, we follow a scientific approach to ensure that our diagnosis is as accurate as possible compared to the typical process of most shops, who simply pull the code and guess without actual testing. Now, it sounds like you have indisputable evidence that our diagnosis was wrong and if I can substantiate that as a fact I will gladly refund your money, because if we made a mistake we didn't earn it. Diagnosis not good on my car. I knew that going in. They were very clear on alternate options and others that were mandatory. Also were excellent with transportation help. The pandemic has brought up issues where their waiting room was closed. Made some suggestions, and they appreciated the feedback. Great experience and would definite err lying recommend.

While I appreciate the fact that my oil change was free due to being a healthcare worker during the pandemic, the guy who came to talk to me basically told me my brand new car needed all of these services that I just had done about 3 months ago. He was very pushy, I tried to tell him I didn’t need those and he proceeded to push. The front desk lady was very sweet but when you offer a free service don’t try to up sale almost $700 worth of work. Again, thank you for the free oil change but maybe have a refresher course on customer service.

Courtney, first of all thank you for being on the front lines during these past couple of months working to help keep our community safe. Secondly, I'm very sorry to hear that you felt our advisor was pushy. Our goal is simply to advise and educate our clients on what their vehicle needs to stay in top condition and do everything we can to help make sure it's safe and reliable. I've found in my experience you never have to push anyone to make a wise decision once they have all the facts. Something to consider is that if we had never serviced your vehicle prior to this visit then our team wouldn't have known what maintenance you had or hadn't done. On newer vehicles it's sometimes impossible to tell for sure if certain services have been performed, so in these cases we recommend them based on mileage. Usually, if a client has already done those services they tell us, we make a note in our records, and that's the end of the matter. We strive for our clients to have a 5 star experience every time they come in and it sounds like in your case there must have been some kind of misunderstanding or miscommunication because obviously that didn't happen.
