Well, yesterday I just got my car in time at the AutoZone (Clearfield) when my old battery died and need a replacement. But after I installed the new battery and started the engine, the idling was significantly low and struggling. I tried to find different ways and to fix the issue but no luck. So I went next door (Steve’s Automotive Specialist) to inquire with the car’s possible issue and ask advice for corrective action. The Manager and the mechanic (Dave) analyzed the condition, and Dave quickly identified the problem after learning that a new battery was just installed. Apparently, there are certain preventive maintenance need to be performed once the battery is replaced due to the loss of power on the computerized portion of these newer vehicles (example: resetting automatically on some parameters). Anyway, having Dave with a lot of experience repairing on Toyota vehicles, fixing the issue on my car went really quick (less than 10 minutes) and it was flawless considering I’m a grease monkey as well. And certainly learned something new from him. Towards the end, I ask how much I owe them for the effort, and they (the Manager and Dave) said it’s free. It was difficult for me to walk away just that. So to make things fair, I’m sharing this experience and wanted to give the kudos to them for the good customer service and fast turnaround which certainly shortened the downtime I have to endure. Thus, I’m looking forward to come over your shop again for future related needs. Thank you. Note: Given a four (4) star is a very good rating considering that it was just my first visit but then again the knowledge, response, and customer interaction of the management and staff were greatly noted and appreciated.
