The people at Steve's Automotive Specialists are so great to work with. I thought I was stuck taking my Mercedes to the dealership for repairs, but Steve's has a great European car technician. The report I received about the things that need to be addressed on my car is incredibly useful information... and something I've never seen from any dealership. Highly recommend.

Essentially, I was lied to about their warranty and they have poor customer service. They replaced my brake pads and rotors which promptly failed a month later. I was visiting Santa Clara from out of state when they replaced them. I was told by Chip (his name is on the invoice) that if they needed to be replaced within the warranty period that they would cover the cost (knowing that I was from out of state). A month later the pads and rotors failed and I contacted Steve’s to honor the warranty. I spoke with Chip who essentially said there was no way they could cover the cost. A refund for covering it myself was also not guaranteed (an extensive process that depends on whether the parts manufacturer decides to pay). He said in order to authorize a payment he would need to contact corporate. I asked him to do that and he said he was not willing to do that. Chip said he had other customers he needed to see and he couldn’t talk with me anymore. A 5 minute conversation. All in all, I regret paying them $700 for the repair. They were unwilling to honor their warranty and cover the $500 that it will cost to fix their work and replace their shoddy parts. I do not recommend Steve’s.

My preception is they are nice but not trustworthy Starting with the cons: 1. When I dropped my truck off there to have it looked at - I was told it wouldnt turn because of the radiator stop leak that I put it. I had been able to get it to turn over a few days before I brought it in and stop leak wouldnt stop the engine from turning - that was the first red flag. 2. Was given the price to fix my truck but after talking to them, they brought it down 2000$. When I picked up my truck, the price was what they originally told me, before they brought it down. They said I agreed to that price but couldn't show me where I did. 3. They told me they had to replace 1000$ in parts but didn't call to tell me about the need and talk to me about the extra costs. 4. Several of the parts that they said had to be replaced, I had recently replaced, so I know they didnt need to be replaced. 5. Told me they would give me a military discount but I still ended up paying 500$ more than what I was told, after I argued with them for a week Pros: 1. Let me leave my truck there a few extra weeks while I moved money around to pay for the repair 2. After disagreeing with them for a week they brought the price down to be only 500$ more than what I was told - instead of 2000$ more Im not going to blast them on social media because they did work with me on my concern about the pricing/ ethics - however it was after considerable back and forth. Customers need to be aware of the company's business practices ...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Air conditioner just stopped working and I felt like something else might be wrong. Went in fearing a thousand dollar charge BUT they did FREE YES FREE diagnostics and assured me the car itself was good. Then they found the problem and fixed it in under an hour. That was amazing then they didn't charge me for the part because they had a used one that would work with my old car. So out the door total was FREE!! I'll be back when the next thing goes wrong with that old car! Thanks guy's you made my month!

I recently had an oil change and tps sensors fixed here and they were so quick! Their customer service is phenomenal. All of the employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Specifically Taden, Ben, Sheldon, and their manager Trevor. The environment seemed super fun and you can tell that everyone there is dedicated to helping the customer. Highly recommend if you ever need repair done to any of your vehicles!

I called to get the cost of a alternator for my 2014 SX4 car. I wanted a second opinion for the cost from a different shop. I was told at Steves that I needed to bring the car in. I told him the car did not run and I just wanted to know the cost of the alternator if it turned out to be the alternator after testing. Steves Auto would not give me the cost. So if you want to price a specific repair to be able to compare to another shop, Steves is not the place to call. Bait me in to get a quote is not a good or honest practice
