Yet another shop that attempts to prey upon women who they think are too stupid to know when they’re trying to rip us off!! I’m not that naive, even if I look like it. I had a check engine light come on, flashing. So I drove to AutoZone to read the code. Then took it to Steve’s which was right next door. Steve’s tried to tell me that my 8 year old vehicle with barely 60,000 miles on it needed an entire NEW ENGINE for $10,000!!! They were also pushing me to apply for a credit account. I ended up taking the car to the dealer because, after looking online while I was waiting, I thought it might have been related a recall. The dealer cleared the code, did a full inspection and drove it…and said there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!! Maybe a faulty sensor that tripped the check engine light. I also later had a family member who is a mechanic also check it out, and couldn’t find anything wrong. The only good thing I have to say about Steve’s is that they didn’t charge me for diagnostics, and they got me an Uber ride home.

Caught them in a lie when they tried to upsell me. Brought in my 4.2 v6 e250 to have a belt installed to bypass my seized a/c compressor. Ben called me and said after checking the routing of it they could do it for $250 while hinting that the compressor may be in the way and they would update me. Little did he know that I knew it wasn’t in the way. A few hours later he called, belts on but there is a slight clearance issue with the compressor and they would need to replace the compressor in order for it to run or the belt would shred itself. Shred on I said on the phone I’ll come pick it up. His story changed as soon as arrived . Ooo yeah I actually misheard the tech we just couldn’t find the right belt. lol what a shady shady shady way of doing business. Meanwhile I picked up the correct belt after a quick google search and got my rig running a few hours after I got it home. It’s too bad this place is shady had high hopes Ok yeah they still charged me $295 for nothing

Steve’s did a great job addressing what needed to be addressed and leaving things alone that weren’t worth the trouble on my son’s older car. They were easy to work with and responsive to my concerns.

I had a busy day going, but I needed to have emissions done on my vehicle. I arrived, walked in and talked to the staff at Steve’s Automotive Specialists about what I needed. I had barely sat down when I was told my car was done. I was out on my way and all was good. The employees at Steve’s Automotive Specialists are friendly, knowledgeable and good at their work. I will continue to go to Steve’s Automotive Specialists.

They had good availability for a quick oil change. No issues. Friendly and professional service. They sent a Text of what their recommendations are and prices. They do have a waiting area and restrooms. This time was just for minor items but I will update when/if I return for any major items!
