Doug’s is the go-to place for auto maintenance and repair. They are reasonable and fair; show integrity and character. We used Doug’s to check out a Hyundai Accent before we made an offer to the owner/seller. Took in my Taurus. They finished at the time promised and it ended up costing less than the original quote. Plus, I got a free Lyft home to wait...and one to pick it up. Nice. Place is clean and well kept. Feels like a hospital for cars. Price seemed more than reasonable for the work done.

Just wanted you all to be aware of Steve's Automotive specialists in clearfield and the AWFUL Service we recieved. A few weeks ago we brought our Van over to Steve's automotive as we usually use they use them for oil changes, tires and other things that we needed to have done with not only mine and Paul's car but the kids cars also. When we brought in our van we had the check engine light going on and off and 2 service codes come up for crankshaft sensor needs replaced. When we brought it to Steve's the Mexhanic said he knew exactly what the problem was and that he could fix it. After them having it for over a week to get the part in and paying a little over $730 just for us to drive it out of their parking lot when the check engine light came back on. Then when we brang it in the first time we had no issues with any gas smell until after the initial fixing of the car. After speaking with them again and bringing in our Van again to have them look at it the mechanic stated it needs a new computer and that what he thought was the problem must not have been and that is over $1800. Then when we bring up the gas smell it in we had no issues with any gas smell until he told us that that's a separate issue and that would cost us Over $700. We had told him that he said the 1st time that he had the problem fixed which in fact it was not. Then hes adding all these other things and now that cost is way more than what my van is worth. Just wanted everyone to be aware that we Love to support local small businesses but will not be supporting them anymore. They are not trustworthy at all and Try to take advantage of people who do not have much mechanical knowledge. We also reported to the Better Business Bureau and left a review for them on their website

Over time vehicles have become increasingly more complex and costly to repair and although we can't change that what we can do is more clearly communicate the repair process so you know what to expect, and it looks like we didn't do a great job at that on this visit. You and family have been great clients and we don't want to lose you because of this one incident. It was our responsibility to help you through the repair process and somewhere in that process we lost your confidence. We hope the fact that we refunded all of the labor you paid for this repair proves that we care more about earning your trust and confidence than taking your money. If you'd be willing to give us one more chance we promise we'll do better, thank you!

This is a follow up of a previous review I left for Steve's Automotive. I was very displeased when I got done dealing with them. $1200 repair for the windshield wipers and the front end. Now, a few months later, the windshield wipers are still not working properly and I'm taking my car to another mechanic to get the front end repaired. Neither problem was improved in the least by the $1200 I spent in their shop. I wasted $1200 by taking my car to Steve's automotive.

As always, great service, helpful, and friendly people. They send you a text with detailed inspection results including photos of your car, and the customer selects which services seem important, necessary, and affordable, also by text. They are totally supportive if you decline some services and accept others. This place is totally great.

David, thank you so much for your review. Our team members have masks and have been instructed to wear them. There is an enclosed small office behind the front counter where the advisor's work at their desks and they may not always have their masks on in that room as that's where they eat lunch and make a lot of phone calls. Be assured we take this pandemic serious and will continue to do all we can to help keep both our team members and clients safe.

This is a really good local shop that has fair prices and good workmanship. I like that they tell you everything with your car good or bad and then let you decide which items to have fixed. Also, it's super easy to schedule an appointment with them.

Everyone was friendly, respecful and knowledgeable. They got me in right away and completed the work in a timely fashion. I felt comfortable that the suggested repairs were valid and necessary.....and for many females, that doesn't often happen in an auto shop. I will use Steve's Auto for my future repairs. Thank you!
