Steve's had been very thorough and honest to deal with.

Unfortunately, I have to change this review in light of new evidence. While their price was reasonable, the quality of their work was not. It’s only been a few months, and a clear mistake they made caused one of the brand new parts to fail. I’m sad to say that they aren’t willing to fix the issue and tried to blame faulty parts. Now I have a leaky exhaust and will be trying to find a new mechanic. For those of you who speak car: they replaced my exhaust manifolds and y-pipe with new parts I brought to them from Auto Zone. They had to adjust the curvature of the pipe to make it fit, but left it resting on the subframe. I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that the vibrations traveled through the pipes and found the weakest location to cause a crack.

My moms car a 2000 Honda Accord was running like a million bucks then went to this shop to get a oil change and had them check the fluids while they were at it. They told her the transmission needed to be replaced and it was leaking like crazy keep in mind it never had it leaked before.. She looked underneath the car and the mechanic said “you won’t see the leaking fluid”Quoted her 4000$ to fix it., the check engine light also came on a mile down the road..when it never had that issue before she took it there. it’s just sad that there are crooks out there like this that would take advantage of someone who don’t know anything about cars.. long story short we took it to a different shop and the transmission is fine so I wouldn’t recommend the Clearfield location go else where so you don’t fall victim to these crooks! My daughter drives a 2007 VW Jetta that we bought for her about 2 years ago, her first car. She's a good driver and takes pretty good care of "Fernando" her name for her car. About a month ago she started mentioning that her car was having a hard time shifting gears so I suggested, after reading the Google reviews that we take it to Steve's Auto to have them check out the transmission for us. I had never been to Steve's Auto before and after having a less than pleasant experience with other auto shops in the area we decided to give someone new a try. We dropped the car off with Randy and within 2 hours he had diagnosed the issue and called me back to let me know what the options were for fixing ol' Fernando. I wasn't charged for the diagnostic work done for the transmission or for the time that Randy took researching our options. The bottom line is that we were treated better at Steve's Auto than just about any other shop I've been in, including the dealership where I've bought multiple new cars. Although Fernando's time has come and he'll be heading off into the horizon we'll definitely be bringing our other vehicles back to Steve's Auto. One of the best experiences I've had in years. I have always appreciated the service and personal care that I get when I take my car in to Steve's Automotive Specialists in Clearfield. They have always gone above and beyond to help me and make sure my car is taken care of and that I have transportation to get where I need to be when my car is in their shop.
