First encounter they fixed my AC for under $200. That seemed fair, so I referred my mother-in-law for noise when turning on cabin air. They called and said $90 to dig in and diagnose, I said OK. They called back with a quote of $1400. I declined. I took it to my do-it-yourself brother-in-law who fixed it in 2 hours. The part was $28. Back to the fist encounter . . . one month after they "fixed" my AC and tested for leaks, it no longer works. Don't waste your money.

Never, ever go here. What an absolute nightmare, bad service, horrible quality workmanship. I paid them to repair my truck, and they only installed half the parts, and resulted in the repair failing. When I brought the truck back, they were very reluctant to offer any help. Absolutely a pathetic shop. Very dishonest.

I went to Steves Auto to have my breaks fixed after I called and got a quote from them. The quote I was given was for my back breaks Rotors break pads and possibly calipers. The amount I was given was $27.99 for break pads $49.99 each for rotors and $69.99 for calipers I was also told they had a special going for 50% off breaks. I was given a total of $117.20 and 50 % off calipers if they were needed. I was given an appointment for the next day at 1000 on 6-3-2020 I drove with bad breaks from downtown on 1pp S to Steves Auto on 2809 S 2300 East. I had spoken with Alex on the 2nd and got the quote. When I got there and Alex came out to talk to me he said he was the only one who gave quotes and he didn't give me that quote! So it must have been Casper the friendly Ghost that gave me the quote. He stated it would be like him paying me to do my breaks. While I was there they went a head and did a quote for me. Alex didn't take my car into a bay and didn't take the tires off to see what all was wrong. He came back in and printed me a quote again without properly looking at my breaks. The quote that Alex gave me in person was just over $1200.00 which is a big difference from $117.20 and a long way to drive from 100 S Downtown on breaks that are grinding everytime you have to stop! Not that it matter to them. Once I told Alex he gave me a quote for $117.20 he laughed at me and said for that he may as well pay me for him doing my brakes. I don't think you can be much more unprofessional than to laugh at a customer! I had even written down everything he told me on the phone and he told me I must not know how to listen or write! Because he's the only one who does phone quotes and he would have never told me that! I was so lucky to find Lee from Brakes only Mobile. He came to my house and had my breaks done in about 30 minutes and there was nothing wrong with the caliper like Alex had said there was when he never properly looked at my breaks! Lee was amazing and the total cost for him coming to my house and being done in roughly 30 minutes was $269.03 he treated me very nice and civil unlike Alex! I would NEVER in a million years recommend Steve's Auto or Alex for that matter! Apparently they give you a quote without even looking at your car for what you are there for!!! Alex you should lose your job you are an absolute joke!!! As is your company Steve's Auto! I will also be filing a complaint with the better business Bureau because you and your company are a joke! I will make sure and spread the word to the over 700 people I work with! I hope you run your business into the ground because that is what you deserve! Maybe you should think about that the next time you treat a customer like crap!!! And don't think Kim can back you up on what you said or how you said it! As a woman people like you tend to treat woman like we don't have a clue when it comes to our vehicle's which is why I recorded the entire conversation starting before I walked in the door on an app on my phone! You really should think twice about how you treat customer's especially women!!! If I could give u less than 1 star I certainly would!! I am alao going to talk to the District Attorney's office about how you tell customer's one thing on the phone and a different thing in person. And didn't even look at my car!!! Maybe you should think things thru in the day and age of smart phones!!! Shame on you Alex for the way you treated me!!!!
