I'm pretty sure they do good work and are honest - I haven't had any problems in that regard. So what is the problem?...I'm not really sure there is a benefit going to them over a stealership. Their hourly rate isn't any better and they are going to charge you whatever Alldata says a job takes whether or not it actually takes that long to do it (just like a dealership). To me, the whole point of an independent shop used to be you were getting a better deal than the inflated rate, "by-the-book" dealership price. So, I'm having a hard time seeing the point of going to them (or any other independent shop) if their pricing isn't going to be any better. A neutral 3 star review seems appropriate
Loomis, price is only one of the many components that make up an automotive service experience. Other factors are convenience, skill level and experience of the mechanics, quality of parts, and warranty just to name a few. All you have to do to lower the price is to change any of these components, for example, you could use lower quality or economy parts, hire inexperienced or novice mechanics, or offer very short-term warranties. We've found over the years that most of our clients prefer a higher quality service and accordingly our goal is to deliver the highest quality service available in the market place for a fair and competitive price. I do appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your honest feelings, thank you!
