My family was planning a road trip and I wanted to make sure the car was in good condition for the trip. I spoke to a really nice guy on the phone and we scheduled an appointment. I show up on the day of the appointment and they took my car in for a general inspection. I was planning on waiting at the shop until it was done but it would have taken a while. So they asked if they could drive me to work and pick me up later from work! Well, I work downtown Salt Lake and they’d still do it! How amazing is that! I’ve never seen that type of service. Jim drove me to and from work. Super nice man. Had a great chat. Mike called me while I was at work and gave me a summary of the results of the inspection. They sent me a report with pictures explaining the different maintenance items that the car would need. Though I decided not to go through with the repairs, they were still very understanding which I appreciated. Jim picked me up from work and we headed to the shop. The lady at the desk was super friendly! I was prepared to pay for the inspection but she gave me a very discounted and extremely generous price ;) I can’t complain. Definitely will come back for car problems. You have gained my business.

Be very careful. These guys are slick. They have the upsell thing down. Not just the mechanics. The front desk person even has like 2 or 3 little upsells she tries to get you to do. You'll know exactly what I mean if you go in for one simple thing or a "check up". They'll find all kinds of things wrong that you have to fix all of the sudden. But don't worry, they'll give you a "deal". It's totally old school auto mechanic "upsell" stuff. It was kinda funny actually. I had them do ONE thing and they did do it right so that was fine but I've never gone back and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, especially if you don't know much about cars. They will take advantage of you.

Steve's Automotive is a fantastic place to take your vehicle!! They truly care about your vehicle AND your personal safety when operating your vehicle. The amount of detail they provide during the preliminary inspection of your car is great, but the full inspection they complete during repairs is second to NONE! I will only take my vehicles to Steve's going forward. Mike is very good at describing the work that needs to be done, and how it was done. And Debbie is great too, so awesome to work with!! White glove service from beginning to end! Thanks everyone!

Had a great experience with SAS, its hard to find a honest hard working shop.

As always I can count on Steve's Auto for precise, efficient and friendly service. My Toyota is always happy for a 'car-spa day' at Steve's as well =). Brought my car in for repairs. Asked how much it would be, since the car isn't worth much and it wouldnt be worth thousands in repairs. Gave me an estimate that worked, so I told them to go ahead. When I get the car back, it's still messed up, and it's something else, which I also have to pay for, despite their guarantee. 2400 dollars later, I've sunk more money in to the car than it's worth and it still isnt driving properly. Plus they're only open on weekdays during working hours. Honestly avoid at all costs.

I’m not usually the one that writes reviews. I thought I would try Steve’s after reading positive reviews and I gotta say what a let down it was. Confirmed the reason I don’t like mechanic shops. Took it in for a transmission flush and front end alignment. First they got fluid all over my transmission so for the past month it smells like ATF everywhere I go. The guy that did my alignment didn’t even tighten down all the bolts so my control are m would move as I’m driving around and pop every time I turned the wheel. It was originally supposed to be $150,which ended up being more, but I got a call while they had my truck and they wanted to do some other repair which he quoted me OVER $1000!!! I am extremely disappointed which the service I got and wouldn’t recommend this place

Great service at Steve’s in Clearfield. Would recommend to anyone one who is having car troubles.
