I do not have enough good things to say about this place! It is the only place I’ll take my car in Utah. Seriously. As I am a student, they have always done such a thorough job at a reasonable price. They also get it done in a very timely manner. They always give you a call to let you know when your car is done. The workers there are honest, nice, and great at what they do! I have never left Steve’s disappointed. I brag about this place to everyone and I HIGHLY recommend choosing Steve’s!

We are on a big ski road trip through the Rockies when the heater/defrost blower motor died on our 2011 Suburban. I called Steve’s late in the afternoon just as they were closing, but they said to come early and they’d squeeze me in. SOOO GRATEFUL to these guys. Great work, FAST, friendly, PROFESSIONAL, and super reliable. Highly recommended. I’d give them more stars if I could.

I went there 03/16/2023 and I just want to say I was very satisfied with the service and customers service. They made me feel very comfortable and had a conversation with me, it wasn’t like most places where it’s complete silence and no conversation. Mitch and I didn’t get the other gentleman name ( he wears glasses and has a grey black beard ) they were super super helpful answering my questions and recommending me things to do to my car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 10000/10 🫶🏻

UPDATE: With a promise to have someone contact me, it has now been a month and nothing from the store. I reached out to the business owner directly and left a message also. No response. Lots of nice words in reply to my review but no action. CONSUMER BEWARE: Friendly and polite but I will never take another vehicle to this shop. Definitely would not have come to this place if I had known their 'mark-up' model of taking advantage of customers. The part I had them replace retails for less than $180 (I'm sure wholesale price is much lower) and they charged me $470+ just for the part. I balked at the price but was in a jam so I had the work done. I even spoke with the shop the day after paying to double check and make sure it wasnt a clerical error on pricing. The answer I got was that corporate sets the prices and there is nothing they can do. No offer of discounts or one-time adjustments. They even tacked on a percentage surcharge shop fee. Quality of work seems fine but total bill was more than double what it should have been. I want to support locally owned businesses but not like this. Very disappointing.

They charge half the price jiffy lube does for an oil change. We should be supporting local business, not big corpos. Mechanics are hard to trust but I think if you know your car and can research the issues with it, you can weigh options and see what Steve's auto has to offer.

I was referred here through the Costco Executive membership program. I went in for an alignment after gettimg new tires at Costco. I also asked them to check my front end struts. They did the alignment and then said if I decided to do the struts they would just realign for not cost. I went back a couple days later and they replaced my struts. It was done in about 2.5 hours, way ahead of the expected time they estimated. All of the employees were extremely courteous and helpful and the place was very clean. They also offer free Uber rides if you have to leave your car. They have definitely earned my business and I will be going back.

At Steve's, honesty is not hard to find. They charge fair prices for work, and are always honest about what needs to be done. I would definitely recommend Steve's Automotive in Sandy to a friend. I will always go to them for repairs, maintenance, and questions.

Sheldon was very responsive to my need for a wheel alignment on new tires and scheduled me that day. Otherwise, that car would be out if service until this could be done. The alignment was essential since we blew out a tire on the freeway and messed up the alignment. Very friendly and professional too.
