These guys are the best. Honest and up front. You know what they are doing and how much it will cost before anything gets done. They also recommend future services that may be needed and how much time before you will have to get them done. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was visiting from out of town when the check engine light came on. I took it to Doug's Master Auto Care and they had it diagnosed in about 20 mins. They told me they would need to order the part (an emissions sensor), and it would be in the next day. Doug did not charge me for the diagnostics. I brought it back the next day and they had it done faster than promised even though I asked them to add an oil change and inspection as well. They got me and my family back on the road with minimal interruption to our vacation. Price was very reasonable. Overall I was very impressed with Doug and his shop. Even though I don't live in the area I would highly recommend this business.

I have nothing, but great things to say about these guys. I was smelling gasoline in my engine area and the smell started leaking into my cabin area. I called Steve's automotive and right away the person who picked up was very courteous and helpful. He told me to drop off my car and they will take a look at it. I dropped it off and a couple hours later they called and said it was ready, they said one of the gas line hoses was loose, so they just tightened it and I was on my way. Now you may think..."okay" what's so great about that. Well, I spent over $160 at 2 different dealerships that I shall not name, that basically "diagnosed" my car and took my money and said they couldn't find any issues. Highly recommend Steve's automotive in Sandy, UT, also a plus is they are Gephart Approved!

Ever been to a mechanic, where you set an appointment for something and have them call you and say- "just wanted to let you know, this doesn't need to be done right now, do you really want us to do it?" Well, that was my first experience with Doug close to a year ago. The honesty and goodness that Doug has, has definitely made me a life long client! Thanks Doug, for all you do!!

Fantastic service, I brought my Honda Pilot in because it was flashing just about every check engine light possible. It was also not driving smoothly. Steve's ran a diagnostics and did some investigation. They found it was caused by dirt/leaves/ and buildup that made its way into the engine through the air filter. They cleaned it up and replaced some tail lights at a low cost. They only charged me for the labor. They had my ____ in a sling yet didn't take advantage of a desperate customer. Very pleased with the high quality of service and honesty from this business. Customer service has been very good as well.

Amazing staff and service! 2005 Reno Suzuki S. I initially brought my car to Riverton Suzuki to have the interior heating control switch checked. I waited a while till a service rep approached me from inside the showroom, while others in the service bay walked past me to their station. I explained my situation, when the rep asked me to come back tomorrow since they're busy... at that time a customer who had happened to overhear me suggested I check out Steve's Automotive Specialist. I followed up by researching online, read customer reviews and decided I submit a request to schedule an appointment. Two days later, I was visiting their location. My initial conversation with Dave was positive and confident they were able to help me. Upon assessing my initial situation in the vehicle, (heating control switch) Nate returned to explain what needed to happen and my options. Nate also discovered a few other mechanical issues that I was aware of, though wasn't a priority. After discussing my options, associated costs and repair time, we agreed to have the work completed. I was surprised when Dave called three business days later to acknowledge the parts arrived and they are able to complete the work. The work required my vehicle remain overnight which wasn't a problem because Dave arranged for a ride to my place of work and home. Thanks to Jared, and their shuttle service, he also picked me up the following day (on time!) to return me to their shop. In additional to having an amazing staff; Dave, Nate, Jared, and Richard, they know how to treat their customers and not once had either of them made me feel like an idiot (I know little about automotive) when I was explaining my situation to Nate. Long story short, if you are in the market for a reputable, honest and friendly automotive repair service, you owe it to your car and you to stop by and check them out! My car started acting up very randomly right before I was to go on a trip (Murphy's Law). We called Steve's and they got me in right away and were able to completely fix my car in a few hours. They even gave my daughter and I a free shuttle ride home while they were working on my car and said they would pick us up again once it was done if we needed it. The driver was so kind, especially once we pulled into my driveway at my house and I realized that my house key was left on my car key ring that was back at the shop! His response was "it's no problem will go and get it". So we got not one but two rides home. Everyone at the shop was very professional and the most important thing is that my car is working great and I've have no problems with it since they fixed it! They even called me a few days later to make sure I was happy and that the car was still working properly.

I was recently visiting relatives in Utah when my water pump went out on my 09 toyota sienna. We had to leave in two days to return home. A relative recommended Kelly at STEVES AUTO, I took my car in the next morning and Kelly was very sympathetic with my plight. Even though he had a shop full of cars he took mine in and had the repairs done by that evening. I drove the toyota home across the hot desert without a problem.. Thanks for the great job Kelly and your friendly service.

i went in to doug's because he told me he can do a quick check up "for free". after a day or so i go back to the shop to figure out what he had found out. He told me a few issues then charged me money for work i had no idea he had done nor told me about till it was time to pay him. His receptionist then told me i'm lucky for him charging me as much as he did because the price i paid was for less labor then he put in. After paying him i had no money left and was actually negative in my account. He also tried to make me purchase a carburetor through him for $400 some odd dollars, after i told him there are some for way cheaper he tried to make up excuses that i should just go through him and end up paying $800 plus just to fix my carburetor. Complete rip off. Don't trust this place or what they say.

Jac, Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry that you were disappointed in my service. My receptionist was correct; your vehicle needs a considerable amount of work. I did spend 3+ hours diagnosing and fixing a variety of vacuum leaks, and electrical issues for you. I am sorry that the $40 that I charged didn't repair the major problems. It seems that I didn't clearly explain the additional repairs needed and the alternative options for purchasing a carburetor. I am happy to clarify any questions you might have and discuss this with you further. Doug
