Tifani at the front desk is amazing! If anything people should bring their cars here just for the customer service. I got an oil change and it was free because of their Car Club Card. All around great place to bring your car. I've been three times now.

I brought our Toyota Sienna in for some defered maintenance. This gave us a comprehensive overview of what needed to be repaired and helped us select the most important repairs that fit within our budget. We'll be returning to have the rest of the repairs completed in the next few months.

Very mixed experiences. One good, where they fixed their mistake. One bad, where they quoted me over $400 just to replace a battery. The good experience: they accidentally put a hole in my radiator while doing an oil change (the hood closed unexpectedly because the struts were old and it smashed a tool into the radiator). They replaced the radiator at no cost. I was grateful and impressed. But then... The bad experience: took my full-sized passenger van in because it was having trouble starting. I thought it might be the starter (battery was only 2 years old). Turned out it was the battery. Randy quoted me over $400 to replace the battery ($193 for the battery and $200+ for labor). I was astounded. He claimed the van required a "special" battery that was difficult to access. He claimed there were "covers" that had to be removed. When I told him that the battery had no covers and was not difficult to access, and that I could replace the battery myself, he said he would "check with his technician." He quickly called me back, apologized, and acknowledged that it would be only $50 in labor to replace the battery. He then took the entire day day to replace the battery, claiming they were "having trouble getting the right battery delivered." The van had been there since 9:30 a.m. I got home and discovered that they installed a basic battery that retails for $120. I returned the next day and questioned why he charged me so much for the battery. He started to tell me that the battery was "special." When I told him the retail price for my "special" battery, he questioned me. After I looked up the battery on a local auto parts dealer's website and showed him, he told me he would "make it right." I'm wondering why this didn't start out "right" from the very beginning. To his credit, Randy did refund me the difference between the retail price of the battery and the price he originally charged me. But I had to research the battery myself and return the next day to question him about it. Had I not asked any questions, I would have paid over $400 to have this place install a basic battery in my vehicle.

I visited Steve's Automotive for the first time today as I needed and oil change and got a coupon in the mail. Not only did they do the oil change, but they include a full check of the vehicle. Tim is the one that gave me the report on the vehicle and let me know what their recommendations are, and this is honestly always the part I dread because it's usually so pressure filled and aggressive but I didn't feel that at all here. Tim was very nice and fully explained both a brake fluid flush as well as a transmission flush and gave a very detailed report on the condition of these things in the vehicle all without pressure. When I said that I didn't have time today, he was not aggressive or pressuring and told me I can schedule any time. I will definitely be coming back to Steve's for those things because the service was impeccable. While waiting in the office for the oil change to be completed I noticed that it is very clean and well kept, they have candies and drinks out for you, and plenty of seating. The receptionist was very nice and cheerful as well. I also had the opportunity to be here to see an act of kindness on the part of the company. Tim was speaking with a gentleman who has had troubles with his car since he bought it and it seemed like he got screwed over by the dealership. The man didn't have the money to pay for the repairs today and was going to have to leave the car for a few weeks. Tim was so generous and comped the service and told the man that he should just get some justice for what happened to him as it was not fair. I was so impressed to see that kind of kindness. I would definitely recommend Steve's Automotive to anyone.

The service has been great so far. I have been in here twice for oil changes. So far I believe they are far more trustworthy than jiffylube or other mechanics. My main issue has been the speed at which they work. I understand quality is important and I appreciate the work but an oil change should not take more than 30 minutes. I know the summer can be busy but when I schedule an appointment for an oil change, I would expect it to be fairly quick. Both times I have come in have taken almost two hours for a simple oil change. The main reason I have other people change my oil is for convenience. The price is very inexpensive and I have no doubt the service is good but I feel they fall short on speed especially since my job requires me to set appointments with people in their homes.

Quoted: Rear-breaks- $700 Transmission flush- $300 Very eager to offer-up their "convenient" shuttle service, to keep my vehicle there. 2 different quotes from 2 other "big chain" automotive servicers, on that same day, at least $500 cheaper! don't get ripped off.

So, like you, I read a bunch of the reviews for this business before calling them. Wish I would have paid more attention to the bad reviews, they are the real ones. I had been to a Jeep dealer who informed me I needed a replacement gasket for my exhaust pipe. OK...but at $200 I thought maybe I could get it done cheaper elsewhere. So I called Steve's. Told the fellow who answered what I needed and asked for a price. He wouldn't give me a price without looking at it first (1st warning sign). He explained that the initial diagnosis work was free of charge (ok, sounds good) We made an appointment for two days later at 9AM. I drove the 20 miles from Park City to their shop first thing in the morning. He had no recollection of our call and had no appointment for me on the books (2nd warning sign). Hmmmm. OK, I tell him to replace the gasket, do an oil change and a safety inspection, and ask if he can look into why the Jeep stalled three times in one day for no apparent reason. I leave the Jeep and jump into the shuttle car; they were nice enough to give me a lift back to Park City so I didn't have to stay all day at their shop. As we were pulling out a tow truck was pulling in with a pickup on its flat bed. My shuttle driver said "oh, oh. That was in here yesterday..." (3rd warning sign) That afternoon I get a call from the fellow. In order to discern why the Jeep stalled they would need to do a more exhaustive diagnosis...at a cost of up to $180...well, alright, it would be nice to know what was causing that. I authorized the extra "diagnosis". Later that afternoon... The stalling issue was caused by a "clogged idle air control valve...carbon build up" ($650). The exhaust problem is a cracked manifold (not a simple gasket) and the ball joints and tie-rod need to be replaced before it can pass inspection. Total for that service...$2100. So, not counting the "idle air control valve" issue they wanted $2100 in order to pass the vehicle for its safety inspection, which was needed for the registration renewal which due in a couple of weeks (warning #4). What?!?! The Jeep is a '98 Wrangler and probably not even worth that much. I told him to skip it and come get me. As we pulled in the truck I had seen being brought in earlier was leaving...shuttle guy said something about the owner making it a few miles before the drive shaft they had fixed fell off...(warning #5) So as I am discussing the issues with the fellow at the desk he mentions that they would be willing to buy the Jeep from me for $500. ...wow....it all became clear at this point. I got my keys, thanked him for the effort and got the heck out of there. I took it back to the dealer for the repair to the exhaust pipe. While there I explained what had happened and the service guy shook his head. 1) the "clogged idle air control valve" would in no way have been the cause of the symptoms I was describing. But, it would be a good way for Steve's to ding me for $650. 2) The "cracked manifold" was non-existent. That was a recall item back when the Jeep first came out and many service guys over the years have tried to tell me it needed replacing...except it was already replaced back in '99. Ooops! As it turned out, the dealer was right, all it needed was the gasket replaced. 3) The "ball joints and tie rod need replacing"...again...nope. They were fine. Only thing needed was a bearing replaced at $180. So, in the end, what Steve's wanted to charge was close to $2800, for unneeded work. The dealer got everything cleaned up and fixed for under $400. The icing on the cake was how Steve's jacked up the cost of repairs with bogus work, knowing I needed to get it fixed for registration, and then played the "we'll buy it from you" trick when I balked at the sticker shock. Now I am going to wait and see if they respond to this review with their standard "You clearly didn't understand the repair options" line of B.S. The only options were...pay us thousands for unneeded work or sell it to us for pennies. My advice, stay well away from "Steve's".

Called last minute to have a pre-purchase inspection done on a car we were considering. They were able to accommodate us on the same day of my call, did an excellent job of the inspection, and each staff member was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Great service and quick. Gabby at the front desk was so helpful and the team did a great job on my car. I won't go anywhere else.
